What's Changed?

Whitletts - Holmston - Bankfield

Since April 2021 average speed cameras (ASC) have been deployed at this section of the route. The decision to deploy ASC on this section of route followed an assessment which identified:

  • 10 recorded injury collisions on the national speed limit section of the route at this location during the 5 year period 2015-2019. This included 3 collisions which resulted in serious injury and 1 which resulted in a fatality; and

  • A persistent speeding profile, and regular instances of vehicles speeding excessively.
